Emma Finch is a Trainee Solicitor at the firm. Since joining Shaar Bridge in 2022 Emma works closely alongside the Partners, assisting in a variety of Litigation Family law and Clinical Negligence law matters, along with assisting the other solicitors within the team. Known for her approachable and personable demeanour, Emma serves as the firm’s primary legal researcher, playing a crucial role in supporting the team with in-depth legal analysis and case preparation. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills ensure that all research is comprehensive and relevant, providing invaluable support in the progression of client matters.

She also has a strong passion for both family law and personal injury, she is committed to providing compassionate, tailored legal support to clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives. With a particular focus on family law, Emma assists clients with matters including divorce, child arrangements, and financial settlements, always striving to offer clear, practical solutions and a supportive approach.

Emma’s academic achievements further reflect her exceptional capabilities. She completed her legal studies with a first-class degree in Law, followed by a distinction in both her Masters and Legal Practitioners Course. These academic achievements are a testament to her commitment to excellence in her legal career.

Emma has assisted the team on the following cases;

  • Dealing with a partnership dispute valued at in excess of £250,000.
  • Aviva Insurance Ltd v Nadeem & Anor [2024] – Emma assisted in acting for the First Defendant in committal proceedings. At the trial the High Court Judge ruled the First Defendant was not guilty.
  • Assisting in an unfair dismissal case that settled in the sum of £75,000 just a few weeks before the tribunal hearing.
  • Assisted with a medical negligence case relating to still born twins which settled in the sum of £80,000 and an apology from NHS England.
  • Settling a matrimonial finances case which assets worth circa £1million and a further unique settlement whereby Emma’s hard work resulted in the client receiving 100% of the matrimonial property.
