Independent Legal Advice (ILA) is legal advice provided by a solicitor who is independent from the other parties involved in a transaction or agreement. It is commonly required where an individual is being asked to sign a legal document, provide a guarantee, or take on legal or financial obligations.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

Please bring the following with you:

  • Valid photographic ID – such as a passport or driving licence
  • Proof of address – such as a recent utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill
  • The document or agreement you have been asked to sign
  • Any relevant paperwork or correspondence provided to you in relation to the matter

If you have been referred to us for independent legal advice by a lender, solicitor, or another organisation, please ensure you bring any instructions or documents they have provided.

Fixed Fee

We offer our Independent Legal Advice on a fixed-fee basis of £400 plus VAT.
